Meyer cab hardtop

I am restoring a Meyers hardtop for my 67'cj. It has roll up windows in the doors and i need the metal channel that goes on the bottom of the glass that connects it to the cranking mechanism for the drivers side door, any help or info would be appreciated. thanks

 

Is the window regulator the one with a chain. If it is, Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks use a almost exact setup on there roll up windows, at least on the mid eighties trucks, I think the new ones use a cable, anyway you could bring a sample from from your pass door and maybe match something up. I have also seen this style setup in special made cabs for something like a street sweeper truck, or a yard hosteling truck, ect. Best bet would be KW or Peterbilt, you could probably modify theres to work.

Scroll down to the fourth item and click on it, I think that is what you are after. Looks like they have the retainer tape, handles, and other stuff. Good luck and if I am totally wrong, let me know.

 

May want to check the Classifieds here. There are a pair of Myers doors, with roll up windows, for $50.

Yea for $6.75 you can get a channel and completly destroy it trying to modify and not feel to bad about losing your $7, are those the same type of regulator you have?

 

I had to replace the pass side on my 1970 Mayers top, It was completly gone.
I used a allumaum channel with a 1/4 grove in it and a 1" angle, cut the angle to a 1" x 1/2" about 8" long, cut grove in it for the regulator pin to go in, used 2 small machine screws and nuts to put together. Used RTV to hold glass in chennel. Just use the drivers side as a patern thare is a left and right.
