I'm wondering what others are using when they replace rusty factory flange head bolts and want something that looks original?

McMaster sells a good variety of sizes in black oxide, but they are only mildly rust resistant.

Spray paint doesn't seem to last. Were the factory bolts painted black or coated?

    Thanks.

Check these guys out:http://www.wesales.com/ I used to sell that line to bodyshops. A good Flaps or PBE supplier should have or have access to them. You can get box qty (usually 25), or the small bags. The catalog is available online, but its a 12mb download. HTH

Zinc coated are probably more rust resistant than the black oxide bolts, but they are silver.

I like the look of the black bolts since they look more original.

Anybody know what the black factory bolts are? Coated or painted?
