    Oil filter question, pics added

When I picked up my Jeep there were a couple of old oil filters, new in the box.
    They are Fram C-104's
Does anyone know if they go to any kind of Jeep application.
They are canister filters and I figured they were for the original motor.

those look similar to what a :hurrican: would have, but not exact. Not sure if you have a V6.

btw you can get rid of the gasket it is not needed for the F134 application

    correction

I would listen to what everyone else is saying, the gasket is used I guess. The guy at Napa told me it would not fit and i trusted him and threw it out.

    ?!?

Don't you replace the gasket in the cover when you change filters?

I thought V6s came with spin-on filters right from the get-go-

That filter in the pic might be for a M38A1, they used a different filter & housing than the civvy versions.

I'll check later but pretty sure the 104 is the canister filter for the F134. The gasket goes in the top of the canister.

    My Dauntless uses the PH-11.
They (the c-104 filters)were with some misc. stuff that I got when I picked up the Jeep.
I was just curious about their origin.
Free to a good home if anyone wants them.
