well looks like ill be installing a lift on this 53 flatty. karge said that skyjacker doesn't make a lift for the older short springed jeeps, said they ride to rough. he also told me i could try a rancho 2&1/2 lift and take all the springs out but two to get the lift and a better ride. any one tried this, if not what types of lifts is ever one using, and are you happy with them.

i have superlift springs with poly bushings all around. the springs are a 2.5" lift and the shackles i have probably bring it up to 3 or 3.5".

Some people find them too stiff, but i absolutely love them.

Holbrook long leafs on my 3a. Really like them. ridden on several other makers and they due not compare. Only YJ Wranglers do. I am not a fan of spring overs. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2451568

I've used the Rancho 2 1/2 lift for years on my 2A. Soft, flexy. Will replace with the same.

i ran rancho 2&1/2 on the front of my 55 M38A1 for 4 years, with 2&1/2 shackles on the rear and it worked great. by the time i went to buy the rears the price had gone up so much, and i got a deal on trailmaster 4 inch, but the trailmaster are really stiff. im thinking about removing some leafs to see what that will do. checker has the 2&1/2 ranchos for the older jeeps.
