What is the stock location for the rear view?

    Mirror that is. Just wondering since I do not have one and need to put one in.

    If you are refering to the 75 in your sig. I know for a fact that 74 and below had a rearview that mounted dead center on the inside of the windshield frame. This mirror is hard to find its a standard mirror that mounts on a beefy square base which bolts to the W/S frame with two screws.

    I would assume the same goes for the 75. The only other rearview Jeep ever had mounts to the windshield with glue. Dead Center about 7/8 of the way up the windshield.

    Thanks! Yes, sorry I should have mentioned it was a 75 Cj5.....

    I'll be on the lookout.... I know I need a good FSM so I do not have to ask these little questions....

    '75 is a glue-on on the windshield IIRC. Previous years mounted to the windshield frame.

    Mine is a 74 & it mounts on a block glued to the glass. The tie down strap runs through a footman loop that screws into the underside of the windshield frame.

    I have a photo posted on a thread titled "Need help figuring out my 73 CJ5"...it is post # 19.

    Unsure what is correct for a 75 model.

    Mine is mounted as timgr said it's a 75
