special package?

    so I have a 1969, and have found that it has the 225v6, a limited slip dana 44 rear axel, and it has 31" tires and it doesn't look like it has any aftermarket lift. There is a small "almost block" under the axel and before the springs, but I say almost block because it is shaped to fit the axel curvature, and it is about an inch or so. Anyone have any clues if this is all stock?

    Anyone have info on the 462 model?

    Fits the curve of the axle? Sounds like the spring perch. No idea on the 462 model. Where does that number come from?

    I recall Jim Allen had something to say about the 462 in his book, Jeep - The Collectors Library.

    There's limited info on the 462 out there. Not much more definitive than what I dug on the web for the article that I've found thus far.

    If anyone has more please LMK as the article says.

    I don't THINK my 70 CJ5 has a lift, but I think I have a picture of what he is talking about...

    No lift there, looks like stock springs.....

    Must be a perch then. You have described it perfectly.
    Also the picture shows exactly that peice.
