Gas tank skid plate for 79 cj5

    Hello:
    I am looking for a diamond plate skid plate for my 79 cj5 gas tank(15 gallon). Warrior makes one for a cj7 Model# War904GTC. Will that fit? Has anyone purchased one for their cj5? Any help would be appreciated.

    There are plenty available including the factory one. What about just replacing the entire tank with a new one that is larger, and has a built in skid plate?

    I plan on replacing the whole tank. I wanted to replace the factory type skid plate with a diamond plate type. Just trying to find out where I can get one that fits a cj5
