I've got a '72 5 and I am in the process of replacing the old factory steering wheel. After about a month of tugging, yanking, and pulling the old one finally came off. However, I went to install my new Grant with the 4405 mounting kit; I noticed that the hub wouldn't fit correctly onto the stock steering column. I tried every which way to mount this correctly, but the hub was too tall to allow the column's thread so that the bolt could be attached. Anybody had any problems with their mounting kits? I am at my wits end. HHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP!!!!

I just took my grant wheel off my 72 cj5. It is a special adapter for your set up. I'm going to use the oringinal bus wheel...I still have the adapter if you would want it....Just let me know..Its free...
