Embarassing Newbie question...

    Where is the dipstick for the oil? I can't find the friggin thing anywhere! its a 6 cyl 76 CJ5

    I have worked on engines for over ten years, and have even done swaps, but this is my first "real" old jeep, so bear with me... If someone has a pic of where it is "supposed" to be (Im convinced that either Im going insane or its gone), Id appreciate it!

    Not uncommon to have it missing and plugged. I assume it is a 258 so look on the passenger side inline with the distributor about 2-3" toward firewall. Thats where mine is.

    down low and towards the back on passenger side hard to see just looking in there.
