This is a follow up to my last thread, "Who's right?"

Still sounds like there is a good bit of debate on proper lift, or lack there of, for a 33s on a 73 CJ5 so.....
If I roll with the 33s and 2 inch lift, how much, if any, step out will I need. Isn't it true that in some states you can get fined if your tires protude beyond the fenders? Step out is determined by the wheel, right? What about spacers? I'm looking to keep it simple with the blacked out D-windows.
Again, I'm new so thanks for the help.

In most states your tires are supposed to be inside the fenders. You can usually get away with it as long as fender flares are used. I think you could put 33s under it. May depend on how hard you push it off road. IMHO and from past experience spacers aren't such a great idea unless you really need them. Another possible weak spot. My 2 cents

My 33x12.50x15's do not protrude past the fender flares on my 74
