does anyone know the pushrod length for a 1975 cj5,I looked in my service manual but for some reason 72,73,and 75 not listed. there are several different lengths for different years. I don't know if that would even matter. any help would be appr. thanks

My book says that the 1.5:1 stamped (bridged pivots) rockers started in late '72 (after engine 307E20). There was a 73-74 phase-out of the 1.5:1 stamped rocker arms, then a cast (rocker arm shaft) 1.6:1 rocker was used. These lasted well into '74 when the stamped rockers (1.6:1 I presume) returned. I presume that continued at least through '77. I have the length of that pushrod: 9.564". The length changed again in '81, '83 and '89, and I have no info beyond that. I would expect the above variants to all have different lengths.

My advice would be to pull one out and measure it. You need the right length to match the rocker geometry. I expect it's the same as the '77 if your engine has a '75 date code.

You might want to pull two and measure. In my 74, the #1 exhaust pushrod was shorter than the rest.
