Good lift for highway driving

Any suggestions? I've read some are stiff, some softer, and I'm too novice to make an educated decision. I'd like about 4 inches, and I drive the jeep a lot. Much more than my truck.

 

If I had the money, I would go with a Ribicon Express 4" suspension lift. They have the highest quality and performance I have personally seen. If you want a 2-2.5 lift, Old Man Emu offers a limited selection that may fit your Jeep. They claim to offer the best of both worlds. As far as leaf springs go, they all claim to have found the magic formula or greatest design, but truth be told they haven't change significantly in decades...

 

YJ springs are great.
Spend the coin and go with the RE YJ springs.

 

Rubicon says '76 and up only. My PO did a shackle reversal and body lift. Also possibly extended front springs, but I don't know for sure. Then he put 35's that don't really fit. I am looking to clean it up and get rid of the body lift. But, I would like to keep the 35's. I also do a lot of on-road driving. I like to take it offroad, but I am not really technical. Easy trails, mud and sand. Some rocks, but nothing extreme. I was thinking SOA to replace what I have. Any opinions on this?

RE has the parts to install the YJ springs on an ecj.
You can buy the parts from other places as well.

I have one thats SOA and I dont really like it.
I'd much rather have a solid SUA set up. If done right an SOA is not cheap.

 

There's a kit on Ebay that looks pretty cool to me. It's a SOA and all bolt on. No welding.

I have a 2.5 4wd.com lift and have been very happy with it. I might add a leaf in the front at some point, but overall it was easy to put on and complete. No mixing and matching parts.

I should get a kick back for every time I have complimented their lift.

i love my soa we done it rite all but the pit man arm which I'm going to get a new 1 soon we heated it an bent it does fine but i don't want it to break we put stock 79 cj5 spring under it an done shackle reversal just make sure u have a sway bar on it for the highway ull regret if u don't

 

Where can I get a sway bar setup like that?

 

Was looking at that myself,that is pretty neat isn't it.

 

I think that sway bar is pretty much like the TJ bars.

 

AAHHH!! Sorry guys, just updated my info. It's an 84 cj7. I know there's a lot of stuff out there. I don't want to spend a ton of money on it, and definitely want to keep my springs under. I have a sway bar setup on mine. I don't want a real head jarring ride. My back can't take it. But I don't want an extremely soft one either. It rides really good right now. I just want a little more height for bigger tires. Want to balance out my funds between winch, lift, tires, bumpers, and maybe a new swingout tire carrier. The one I have matched with the bumper won't allow for a bigger spare.

 

Not sure if they have a 4" lift version, but Take a look at Holbrook springs too.

Do you run this lift or know anyone who uses it? I would like to know how well the LongLeaf springs work. Looks like a great product at first glance and makes sense.
