Scrambler Soft top

Does anyone know if a Scrambler soft top could be retrofitted to fit a jeepster? I do realize there would be sme challenges with the doors, but what about length and frame?

Can't say if it would work. Wouldn't be worth it to me though. STC (formerly Kayline) makes a top (not very expensive) for the Jeepster in several colors. I got mine from Turner 4WD in Atlanta.

 

Not sure if its true but someone on the JCCA just posted that STC was sold and production is on hold.

 

It's true. We're out of luck on STC tops for awhile. Hopefully the new owners will keep the product (And the price) the same.

I have a Scrambler with a soft top, quick measurements look like it's way too much work to make fit.

 

Figured as much. Can pick up one dirt cheap.... Maybe I'll try and make a bikini top out of it.

I would think the biggest problem with the Scrambler top is the width. It is going to be quite a bit wider than the Commando. You would have to narrow the bows and somehow take that canvas in to make the top fit.

 

I Ordered Top From Stc In Sept. They Said 10 Weeks So It Should Arrive In About 2 More Weeks I'll Post When It Does.

 

I got the same story. You might want to call and check on your order...I was told there are no tops going out until the sale is completed, and that there is no more raw materials on hand to make tops from...

 

I also orderd a top from them on Sept. 6-06.I will call them this Monday a see what is up,may have to cancel.I think Quadratec sells them also? I will post the answer I get from STC.

 

I received my bikini top Thursday,it was ordered at the same time the full top was ordered.I did try to call and got a machine that was full so I know nothing from STC. Friday the 27th was 9 weeks to the day so my full top should be here by this Friday the 6th.They said 10 weeks for even for the bikini top ,they got it in 9 weeks. I'll post again when the full top arrives........

 

I just called STC.I was told that they have no material on hand to make any tops. Also the sale of the company may take another 6-8 weeks,they also donot have any employees working for them.I was told that they would refund my money.Hope this helps clear some issues up.

 

Kayline is not the same as Bestop, right?

 

Why would it be wider? The tubs are the same width....
