    Stock with points.
    Should I have the modified V-8 cap or would it just look like a regular cap?

    V8 looking cap is the HEI I think.

    If its a pointed igniton it will look like a standard 6 cylinder cap. If it has a small window on the face of the cap its a Delco distributor, otherwise its prestolite distributor.

    I have the window..........what's the purpose of the "window"?

    I am going to go out and tear into her some more.........should have more questions in a few hours!

    The window is for adjusting the dwell on the points.
