If I remember right, the starter off a 1961-1976 Dodge 225 slant 6 works on the f-head. Seems to me I used one off a parts Demon I had to get to work in my Jeep once, then NEVER had to replace it. Infact I think it's still on the Jeep. I'll call my buddy and have him look for the MOPAR tag on it for the model number. It is a REAL gear reduction starter with serious brushes and better/bigger commutator than any Jeep starter.
