    Zounds like you've got something in the hub that prevents the engagement gear from moving inward to engage w/ the axle end gear.

    Have you priced drive flanges lately? You could buy 2 or 3 sets of locking hubs for what a pair of Warn drive flanges cost.

    I had the same thing happen on my front axle after removing the hubs. You need to make sure the hubs are installed correctly. Mine were marked on how they went back together. I had them off by 1 turn and they would not engage.
