That thing is stressed now!! I would use it temporarily for trail use but I would replace it, its gonna fail under heavy use.

I'd say rplace it. They are 9 inch brakes and alot of people jsut give them away so if you are going to keep them i would see what you can get in the wanted section

I might have a set of useable 10" drums i'll give you for the price of shipping. Let me check....if I get home at a decent hour some time this week.

I was just trying to keep from having to subject the wife to another charge on the debit card. After the Painless harness, BDS lift and wheels and tires I think she is realizing that this Jeep is not going to be a cheap project.. I saw that they are $45 new and if I went new I would have to get both sides and that would be another $100 I did not plan on spending.. If someone does have a used good set I would love to buy it from you.. Thanks..

I agree, since I am doing pads and wheel cylinders I should also use decent drums.. Just dident think that the area that broke was a "working area" on the drum, but I realize that I probably stressed the entire drum..

I just picked one up today at Carquest in MI for $19.50 US made and in stock. The one I am replacing is tweaked around two lugs outward and doesn't allow the backspacer to sit flush which means the rim is crooked and wobbles. Pretty cheap for piece of mind. I would think it would suck more to be broke down on the trail versus the road for a $20 buck part- just my .02cents.........

Port Huron area they shipped it from their Bay City? store overnight without any additional cost. I am sure they could do the same for you to your local store- one day turn around pretty impressive and I was in there around 3pm the day before.........

Well I ordered a hub puller from JC Whitney since I have the tapered axle shaft on the rear and hope to avoid the damage in your pic. I hope to get that soon. The new Carquest hub looks like the original though and I don't expect any problems.
