    I apologise to interrupt here but...convert to propane??? These things will run on propane? I got a 65 cj5 f head.:?

    Sure.'bout any internal combustion engine will. Carbureted engines are fairly easy to convert.......

    What about the saveings? Is it worth buying all the stuff you would need to convert? And mileage.. would it be comperable?

    Nope lower mileage. Really you don't save any money unless you know how to get propane for cheap. Also it makes a ton more heat which you need to account for.

    Also, unless the motor is built for propane, you will have less power too...
    If you are thinking of a way to run the engine better at steep angles etc, you can look into a TBI conversion.. I seem to recall there was an article in JP magazine a few years back where they swapped on a Holley Pro-Jection unit to an 'L" head - "Fuel inject any Jeep" was the title -
    Just a thought....

    it's possible to graft a 4-tech fuel system to a L-head motor but you have to add an electronic distributor aswell since that is how the 4-tech opens the injectors. A holley system will just flood the motor since the smallest is a 500 cfm.
