Promised Pics

Here's some pic's I promised to post several weeks ago. This CJ was a real find. Extremely good condition. So far, I replaced springs and shocks, complete brake system overhaul, all new cylinders everywhere, pads, lines etc., carb rebuild, plugs, wires, distributor etc. new motor and trans mounts, some other odds and ends. Check out the new tires, they are Hercules HDT tires as recommended by someone here on the forum. They are just about a perfect match for the originals.

Next to do is complete rewire, body and paint.

 

With the exception of tjhe rewire, WHY? It looks great already.

If you look at the dash, straight above the key is the knob for the headlights, and above and to the right of that is a metal tube, maybe an interior light? Anybody know what this is?

Is it open towards the floorboard? I have seen a metal tube, somewhat bell shaped with an opening facing the floor that was a dash light of some sort.

 

That was my first thought. And I love the look of Animal.

 

Yes, it is open on the bottom of the tube, and on the end facing rear, not sure if something was on the end and it's gone? But I think it is a light, just no inards left.
