I just got my alternator refurbished. It is a swelf regulating alternator. This means there is only one wire directly from alternator to the positive connection on battery. The only problem is that it seems to be draining the battery. Is the easiest way to stop this to put a switch in??? Curently I am dissconnecting the battery.

Sounds like a bad diode in the alternator. Might want to have it rechecked.

:iagree: There's only one way to wire a one wire alternator, and you shouldn't have to put a switch on it.
