Can anyone direct me to where I can get documentaion that shows fender flares were a dealer option in 72. If I cant find this the norwegian government is going to make me take them off and put orignal size tire on my CJ5.

If the Jeep in your avatar is yours, I don't see why they would have a problem with the way you have it set up.

    I would have to move.

Gotta be something out there. I just looked at all of the pics we have loaded into the banner. The 70's models all have flares.

Yes the one in the avitar is mine. The problem is the car can not bee more than 40cm from the side to the center of the headlight and the tire can not stickout past the side of the car sounless I can prove it came from the manufacture I am 10cm to wide and the flares have to come off and if they come offI have to change the tires (32 x 11.5 x 15) to something much smaller

I don't have any info to prove it, but my '75 and '72 did not have flares.

There were fender flares available over the counter from Jeep, though I don't know if they were available as early as 1972. This is my '75, bought in '75 and equipped with Jeep fender flares, bought across the Jeep parts counter. These were often installed by the dealership as Jeep dealer-installed equipment.

You need to find someone with the Jeep factory accessory parts book. They will have a part number and be listed in the book. I wish I could help you more but I don't have the book you need.

Not to Hijack but...Tim is that high back seat OEM? Or did you put that in after you bought it?
