Tire Size

    Anyone know if original tires on a 66 CJ5 labeled 9.15/15 are the same as a 235 75 R15 in today's terminology?

    Yes they are . One sure way to check is to measure the hieght of the old tire it should be around 28 or 29 inches.

    So any 235 75 R15 tire will fit the original 5 bolt rims, right?

    Tire yes. Rim... no Modern Jeep stuff for example does not fit.

    Got it, thanks. Any recommendations on new body mounting pads. I've seen the rectangular pads and round rubber donuts on EBay. Anything I should be thinking about when buying? 1966 CJ5 with the V6 Dauntless, pretty much stock.
