Hey all. Has anyone ever seen a lift kit where one spring is a little flatter than the other? I mean one of the fronts is slightly flatter, and one of the rears is slightly shorter. Is one side of the jeep supposed to be heavier than the other? I am looking at the springs lying upside down on the garage floor, side by side, and of of each of the front and rear springs is just slightly shorter than the other one. Any thoughts?

Oh yeah, it's a Black Diamond 3" lift for the flatty.....

They should be relatively the same when they are installed and the weight has been on them for awhile. I wouldn't worry about how they appear now, assuming they were manufactured correctly. Once installed and you run/flex them for a month or so they should be the same.

But just in case.... what kind of warranty do they have? 1-year? Lifetime?

Another thought... optical illusion? Swap the locations with the apparent short spring and long spring... then step back, look away for awhile, then look at them again. Does the long one now look short? :D I've seen this happen before... ;)

I wonder if they made them to compensate for the Jeep lean? The one with more arch would go on the drivers' side, if this was the case.

I had a similar problem with my 1.5" YJ superlift springs. I don't know if it was the springs or flex in the body, as I didn't notice it right away and only after I finished rust repairs and put the body back on. After a few weeks the problem went away.

My Rugged Trail (purchased when Black Diamond bought them out) where identical pairs.

Make sure you have the fronts together and the backs together, but I would question this.

fronts and rears are together. Rears are about 3 inches longer so easy to tell apart
