    Alright, another '70. Welcome.

BTW - I finally gave up on the factory setup. NAPA had a low $ sending unit and gauge that works good.

I have guage problems too. Using the links above and comparing my guage readings to what they are supposed to be...... Now I'm really stumped. I read within one or two ohms of what everything is supposed to be, but here is my problem. With the guage cluster hooked up, but NOT grounded to the chassis anywhere the guages work fine. Voltage DOES NOT fluctuate and the guages read correctly. When I ground the case, voltage drops to zero on the gas guage and it doesn't work. It only occasionally flutuates from zero to any voltage. I hate using parts replacement as a method of troubleshooting, but when everything tests out alright, not sure what else to do. Any ideas?

Sorry, I don't have any part numbers. The gauge was on the shelf at NAPA next to the tach's & oil pressure gauges. I think the sending unit was also on the shelf. I'm not finding anything at NAPAonline.com either.

I do remember it didn't cost much and the quality was reasonable.
