ok, in the last month I've gone through 2 or 3 of those cheapo $12 dash-mount ignition switches from AutoZone. Is there a heavy duty application that I could use? Or maybe a better source for a switch besides AZ?

You don't have a buncha stuff on your keychain, do ya? All that weight swingin' around, that'll wear an ignition switch out in a hurry, especially a cheapo. BTDT.

Just 2 keys and a keychaine maglite. maybe that's the problem :-\ i purchased one from Orielly's (spelling?) today that looks to be made a little better than what I've been using. I'll see how it works and if it's a bust then I guess marine supply is next on the list. thanks guys.
