another newbie here, from Michigan

    Just figured i would introduce myself a bit, and lurk around reading alot of the posts.

    JUST bought a '73 CJ-5 which came originally with the 304, but the previous owner swapped in a 360!

    Everything else is stock '73 CJ-5 i do believe: 3-speed manual trans, transfer and axles. No idea at all what make & model the rest of the drivetrain is.....something i'll have to research i spose.

    Not alot to look at currently though as she's seen alot of off-road adventures, but something i think i can build on.

    Not new to 4x4's or wheeling, but usually i stay with fullsize trucks. 1st jeep.....hope they are as much fun as i've heard :)

    thanx guys!

    Was just reading through the SOA vs. SUA debate......if i remember correctly, my 5 already has the SOA done in the front. Then again, i could be wrong, as it came with a spare '76 drivetrain (6-cyl, 3-spd manual, t-case & both axles) and that one was definately SOA already in the front.

    Just rambling here.....sorry.......
