Thats a 3a made to look like an M38

It is a military cjv35u very rare made for the Marines. Only 1000 made less than 25 known to exsist still. It is basically a cj3a with water proof ignition and a pto powered generator between the seats for the radio gear.

 

And yes the willys marked hood is stock with the snorkel cut out.

 

Also note the headlight trim rings another sign of a cjv35u

 

Good call. I was gonna mention that... I knew those headlights were off something oddball/rare but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

 

for those that want a snorkel for your cj5 you can still get ones for m38a1's, then you just need an m38a1 aircleaner.
