I am having trouble locating some parts. New or lightly used fuel pump eccentric (for pushing the fuel pump rod, mounted on front of camshaft). Also, a harmonic balancer for the crankshaft. 1970 225 V6. Anyone have experience actually finding these. The Jeep.com hardly has any 225 parts, NAPA doesn't seem to have them, Autozone no., I tried those sites on the 67 rebuild thread -no luck.
I may have to start rebuilding parts myself such as welding, regrinding etc. These motors seem on the way to extinction.

My PM's are turned off and I don't know how to turn them on. Kanter's catalog has typical rebuild parts (rings bearings. fuel pumps etc) but no cam eccentrics or balancers unless they have them and don't list them in the catalog. I'll have to try Buick, never thought of that, figured it was too old.

Josh on the top of this page is a blue bar with 9 options, on the far left is a tab marked user CP, click it and then go to edit options, scroll down the page, there is a category block marked for accepting E-mail and private messages, check them and then click save settings at the bottom of the page.

To turn on Private Messaging: User CP (in the blue bar above, at top of page)/ Settings & Options/ Edit Options/ Messaging & Notification/ Put a check mark in the box that says "Enable Private Messaging"

You might also try http://taperformance.com/ I haven't been to this site for awhile, but I have it listed for Buick parts. Good Luck.

Well, the fuel eccentric is severely worn that is why I'd like to replace. The harm balancer I broke taking it off. I thought about welding it but it would probably be off balance then.

I also tried the Buick dealers in the area. One had a book going back to 1972. I had him look up a 76 Buick 3.8 (oddfire), hoping they were the same, but the parts were discontinued.

For your harmonic balancer/damper, try Damper Dudes in Redding, CA (530-365-2144). They specialize in rebuilding dampers, and do a very good job (I have one on my V6 right now). They usually want your old one as a core.
