Borg & Beck p.plate (3-finger). Can't recall where I got it tho.

You've likely got either that or the diaphragm (many finger) type.

I'm running a Centerforce I clutch and PP...

    #381021 disc, 1 1/16-10 spl
    #360056 PP
TO bearing is BCA 614018 ( or 64018, not clear on the invioce)
    Works great.
Don't bother with the Centerforce II or the Dual Friction, they're best for high rpm applications.

Wups, I misread your question. My 3-finga Borg & Beck mates with a T-14, not a T-18. Sorry 'bout that chief.

I also couldn't make the Centerforce clutch and pressure plate work. I couldn't get it to release. If you put the original clutch disk up next to the Centerforce you can see that the Centerforce is slightly different in it's offset. I finally got a pressure plate and disk from Napa. That was a couple of years ago. It is getting difficult to buy separate disks and pressure plates these days. I kept the Centerforce pressure plate and the next time I have everything apart I'm going to try it again with a stock Ford disk.

Keep in mind I used the CF I, not the CF II...

I had the stock clutch linkage at the time, the long looping cable of the '71 CJs.
I've since replaced the cable with AA Chain linkage.

thanks, ill check out the centerforce I and advanced auto. DanStew-- do you know what the PN of the t-18 disk, or at least what kind of ford car its supposed to go into, i think the mustang disks are the ones that fit right??? if so what year??- thanks

making the clutch work right is my new winter project...i drove it around all summer camping, 4wheeling and all with a broken disk, that was fun :D
