I got my new fangled bling bling stainless windshield wipers. They are differnt than my old ones, these have a remote switch to operate them, unlike the other type with the switch on the housing. Well my wipers came with a wiring diagram... and i lost it :( So i am trying to remember how to wire it. There are three wires on the wiper. +, -, and S. I am not sure if the switch goes to battery power also, or it is looped back for soem reason. I didnt see any relays in it, but i believe there is since the + side will go straight to battery, - goes to negative ground and the switch goes to the switch. So if anyone has the original directions please let me know, so i do not burn up anoither set of wipers.. boy these things are el cheapo :(

Here's some info I found on a google search. "The (+) and (-) are +12V and ground. The (S) is the switch. Hook up the + to 12 volts, the - to ground, and the (S) to one side of a switch. The other side of the switch goes to ground." I'd suggest checking things carefully before applying power. This is info from a search, not my own personal experience. I chose not to use the cheapies and went with the marine motors on both the CJ5 and the M715 and they wire up differently.

If you want to go with a better motor, use one from a marine (boat) supply. They have the motors that Jeep used in 67. Pricey, but you get what you pay for!!;)

Yeah i was going to get the marine ones, they are pretty easy to find here, but the jeep doesnt see much rain. Mine worked for a bit util the tellico ride i had them on for about 6 horus straight, the little motors worked fine until i turned them off... they never came back on.

Thanks!!! I will get it all hooked up tonight, i had the wires run, just coulnt remember where that switch wire hooked to.

Gee, Dan, I sure am glad you asked this question!!! I need to put my electrics back in, and I seem to forget how that went.... (making notes now....)

By the way, if you run separate motors for each wiper, you need to separate the power, also. Either with a switch or a diode. You surely have an intermediate w/s anyway, don't you?

Dan: I had the same problem a while ago with my orig upper ones. Ask question of the board and got it correctly diagnosed. They had not gone to full "park" position. Went out and "wiggled" them and they have worked fine ever since.

So, go "wiggle" them back and forth and see what happens.;)
