Heater Motor

    Can you guys eyeball my heater motor and suggest a suitable replacement? I'd like to pull one from the junk yard and wanted to find a good match. Chevy Astrovan? :?

    You should be able to pull the motor and go into a NAPA to have it matched up with a close replacement.

    If you search the archives there was at one time (years ago) an article on using a truck blower motor (I think) that increased the useable output of the stock heater tremendously, several of the members here have done it. It requires a little mod to the mount but works great.

    You're going to need to take the motor in with you. That blower doesn't look like a stock unit to me. I'm not saying it isn't, but its different from those I've seen.

    If you need pictures of my ford motor modification let me know.

    i used a motor from a 1975 blazer w/350 and ac. need an 1 inch spacer to allow for the bigger fan.
