I was hoping someone could help me with some questions about my '66 CJ-5. The color is blue, but I was wondering what Jeep called THIS shade of blue...paint 385 is on the firewall, passenger side. The trim code is 246, what does that refer to ? And finally, on the driver's side of the firewall, there are 2 plates...one says.....Model No. CJ-5 Kaiser of Canada Ltd. Windsor, Ont. the other one says...Jeep Serial Number
8305 C 208934 WO below the serial number it says
    Kaiser Willys Toledo, Ohio

Does the WO in the suffix of the serial number mean it was made in Windsor, Ontario ?

I noticed in the serial number that the 8305 and 208934 are RAISED, but the letter C and the WO are stamped in (indented)

My guess is that the plates are made ahead of time and given to the factory. Then, option codes are added to the serial number, which would account for the numbers being raised, and the letters being stamped in, probably at the factory to designate options. ??

Perhaps the letter C stands for cab, because this Jeep came with a Kelly steel cab, installed at the factory. ??

The WO designation could mean Windsor, Ontario - referring to where it was manufactured. ??

I just guessing here guys. I thought ALL the Jeeps were made at the factory in Toledo, where Willys made them. ??

    So, to sum it up,

1.What is the name of this shade of blue (385) ?

    2. What does trim code 246 mean ?

3, Where was this Jeep made ?

And last, Thank You to everyone who can help me figure this out !!

Thanks Jim, I really appreciate it. It has a seat in the back, but the blue covering doesn't match the blue vinyl used on the bucket seats. Can't figure that one out. Maybe the rear seat was an option, and they didn't worry about a perfect match. No matter. Thanks again for the info.

Just about everything in a Jeep was an option back then, heck even now it seems...
