I can honestly tell you i havnt ever seen those before in my life. Looks like you will need a screw driver to lock them in. They look sturdy though. Are they functional still/ or are they locked up? I would keep then on for Nostalgia :)

Those are the Cutlas PowerLock Hubs. My 5 has them and I've seen them around elsewhere. I have seen a broken hub, but I'm not sure how it broke. My guess is that only one side was locked. At some point I'll make up the little tool that is used to lock them which is basically a L of metal with a rounded end.
    Here is some info: http://www.willystech.com/wt/cutlasshub/cutlasshub.htm

Had 'em on my truck when I bought it.

Put 'em on the CJ-5 when I sold it.

Have drive flanges on the truck now with two sets of Warn hubs awaiting rebuilding in my garage. :D

Bringing an old post back to life. Last weekend I discovered my '65 has these also. I was searching for information and was glad to see this. I had never seen or heard of Power-lock hubs (Cutlass brand) before.

We have those on "Louie", the CJ5 that we got for free from Fhead guy. We've never seen them before either so this info was helpful. We couldn't figure out how to tell when it was "in" from the hubs.

I have a set of the other cutlass hubs on my jeep. I took thom all the way down the other day cleaned and deburred all the pieces . Greased all the parts and stuck it all back together the are nice and smooth now. Im not sure what you call the ones I have but they seem very mechanicly sound

seems like a small drag link socket would fit those nice and tight so they wouldnt strip out.
