I’ll bet that’s not even 4wd. Modern 5-spd with a driveshaft that long attached to an aluminum tail housing?

No drive flanges on the front axle so its definitely 2wd.
    Probably a DJ front axle.

Pretty sure this is the "style" of Jeep that is popular in India. See a bunch of flatties similar to this one across my Instagram feed.

Zero information is probably better in this case. All I want to know is why did they do that.

Man, what a waste of history.
Way beyond resto-mod. What didn't they touch?
    That's just so wrong!
That Jeep has lost its essence, just a mix-up of bad modifications.
I do like an original Jeep and some useful modifications really can go a long way to make them more useful and off road capable. Some very nice builds here on this forum ...
Modifying to enhance the vehicle ... But this was just adding everything just to show you can do it.
    Not even a Jeep anymore!

    Way wrong!

I’m guessing a Toyota engine/trans? Mutt wheels, and you have to love the shovel and ax bolted to the body. Even if you unbolted them, you would break the handles if you tried to use them.
Somebody’ interpretation of an Army Jeep.

    And now it's in Indiana?
Makes me shudder to think about meeting the current owner
