Looking for some help with my new addition to the collection
    I picked up a 65 CJ-5 with a Perkins diesel and a T-98 trans
    Serial number 8310-10587
I don’t know anything about them I thought there might be a guy or 2 that may have want to share some info on it

Both Mitchell Carter and I have CJ-6 with Perkins. In fact they are 8 serial numbers apart! I bought mine completely taken apart and am in the process of putting it back together. Mitchell has been extremely helpful in helping with any questions I have. If you don’t mind I would sure appreciate any pictures you can take and send of different views of the engine compartment and dash. They are great help in figuring out things as mine goes back together. If there is anything I can help you with please let me know. Welcome to the Jeep Perkins diesel club!

Very cool Jeep. I like the patina. Really interesting about the diesel.
That is seriously cool. There are some seriously cool Jeeps in your photos.
I would like to know more about the Perkins Diesel engines in the Jeeps.
Saw one when I was 10 or 12 on the military base and I thought it was very cool.

I didn't know a thing about them except that they were very rare. I saw this on a site and had to have it to add to my collection. I have been doing some reading and talking with a friend Mitch Carter he is very knowledgeable about the perkins. He has a CJ-6 with a perkins fora number of years and has done his home work.

If you take your pics and load them into Paint, then you can click resize and chose 50% then save them as the same file name with resized at the end and upload them.
Works fast and easy and you still have the original picture to look at.

Great collection. Love those great Jeeps. What a collection.
All of them are great. Love the Willys Wagon and the Pickup those are fantastic.
Don't think I've seen an FC that was that nice.
