Looking for identification of the symbol on wire A-11 from headlight switch to instrument cluster lamps. Rectangle with line on right side. Finding nothing on schematic nor service manual. Resistor?

Just a wild guess... perhaps a capacitor, for radio static suppression?

    Or possibly just a connector?

It's not any electrical symbol I'm aware of, gonna guess and say it's a connector.

I would think it's a connector. Not a resistor or capacitor symbol.

Thanks to all that replied. Didnt think it was anything critical for a circuit that powers a few small lights.

I think connector is correct, however it's probably permanent. I vaguely remember something like that when I pulled all my old wiring out. Two wires went into a hard plastic/rubber case that could not be disassembled.

    Maybe a splice?

Any chance it’s one of these “Off delay relay” symbols? Have no idea what that is but the image looks similar.

The two leads are on the same side...and I don't think relays were used in CJs until several years later.
    I still say permanent splice.

This is a connector that connects circuit 11A to a seperate wiring harness that feeds power to the heater controls panel two light bulbs under the dash.
Remember this circuit comes off the light switch to power all the dash and gauge back light bulbs.
You can likely see this in your TSM wiring diagram. there should be a small supplement diagram showing the wiring for the heater control panel.

This symbol is used in other diagrams I have seen for jeeps. I saw a note once showing this to be a permanent mounting terminal.
