Centered rear and D20. Automatic console. Someone cobble a GM 3 speed into it? Well done if so. Pictures of everything, except the transmission.

All stock as far as I can tell. The Jeepsters with a 3 speed & console used a side shift 3 speed (T86 I think) & side mounted shifter with external linkage.
Think of the shifter on a Muncie M20 in a GTO & you have the general idea.
I've never seen one personally but there's a diagram of it in my Commando service manual.

Neat..I couldn't have something like that. A Buick 350 and Muncie 4spd would find it's way in there quickly...

I believe this was restored by Tim's @timresort brother. Nice restoration by someone that knows these Jeeps.

Sweet! Currently looking for a Jeepster Commando with factory auto as that will be wife approved. Found one that needs a fair amount of body work :(
I'll bet this one goes over 20K... anyone up for a gentleman's wager?

I will pass on that.:) It says Sam put $55,000 in to it. I did not see a reserve on the listing.

    There is a reserve.

Late 70 & 71 is the sweet spot for JC's. Factory Saginaw steering, Dana 44 rear, and longer/wider front springs. 72-73 had all this (and a D30 front), but they're ugly.

Hey, I resemble that! :D My 73 has grown on me. I have seen a few bull noses and with the right color, lift and tires, they do look really good.

It is up to $32,000 with minutes to go. I hope it goes for the anticipated money.
