304 V8 Carb Or Fuel Injection - I Know Beat To Death Variables

The funny thing is I had a box full of carbs all diff mfg and cannot find it. Oh well, I am going to locate a used/junkyard type of 2100 and rebuild it. I do appreciate you guys letting me know your thoughts.

 

If I were to move backwards in the fuel delivery game, the only carb I would run is a MC2100.
That said......
I unloaded my CJ5 from the July Rubicon run and it had been sitting in the carport completely neglected and abandoned until last last week. Turned the key for the first time on Friday and it fired right up as if I had been driving it regularly since July!

 

I sucessfully took mine through the trail around McDonald's yesterday. Low 1st and waited on some full size trucks and maybe a Prius to give it a go. I had to shut down twice to hear the spotters over the radio. Didn't overheat or fail to re-start I was really excited. Last time I tried a similar trail the f-134 wouldn't re-start and I had to push it off the trail.

Hard price to beat. Not sure if it can be used with a crank sensor. Will have to look for the instructions online.
