Gasket Question.

    I rebuilt a YS950 side draft carburetor a the kit came with two different types of base gaskets one is a 1/4 thick and the other is about 1/16 thick. So which one is the right one to go with.

    Not what I would call a side-draft carb. Although kaiser-willys describes it as such.

    Probably would work with either gasket, but I believe the thick gasket provides more insulation from heat.

    Thanks. I idles and runs good. It will not idle if I undo the PVC system and plug it. The reason is since installing the carburetor the engine is burning oil.
