My Jeep came with this top when I bought it and I took it off after a few months since too hot in texas. With a Colorado trip coming up I figure I may need it but can remember how it goes.
    1. I think I’m missing a vertical bar for door to latch too…does anyone have a pic so I can look in parts pile.
    2. What keeps the over head bar from sliding to the rear?
    3. Do I have the hinge/body mount hooked up right?

You are missing the vertical bar or rod which inserts into the hole on the tub and into the tab on the top rod for the door.

Most tops have pieces with snaps that attach the top to the bows, that is what k

Just a strait steel bar with plastic caps on both ends. Those bows are used on my K-line top.

Some tops have a sleeve rather than snaps for the main bow. Just the tension of the top from the windshield channel usually keeps everything in place but I found that is not the case with the Tigertop on my 3B where I had to add straps paralleling the top bar over the doors to keep the rods from pulling out of the windshield frame.

Yes, mine doesn’t have anything for the overhead bar. It has snaps for the rear bar. There is a long nylon strap with Velcro on the overhead bar that I think must attach to footman loops on the windshield. I sold that windshield awhile ago for a big glass version.

You should probably add another footman loop to the new frame. When those tops fold up when you are heading down the highway at speed, it is a bit distracting to say the least--------

Yep same on my 90's bestop for vertical rod. Mine's a fast back so My horizontals and main bow are all held in by the tension of the canopy.

One more question. At the top of windshield frame I have a male button. However I have two female buttons. One at the end of the windshield channel like I have for the bikini tops and one for a flap that seems to be a drip edge for the door. I can’t figure out where to put the male snap for the drip edge. The door doesn’t have a place for it and putting it on the outside or inside of windshield frame results in a lot of twisting of fabric.

Not sure about your top brand, but the old whitco tops had this flap and snap also. the snap went on the inside of the windshield frame.

That upper snap (the one oriented correctly) is supposed to attach to the one on the frame. The lower one would attach on the inside the w/s frame to tension the rain flap for the door.
Tops shrink with age. Park the Jeep in the sun to warm up the top so it might stretch a bit more.

My 90's bestop has the 2nd snap inside the frame with rod in flap, door closes against the rod and the upper snap above keeps most of the water from draining inside the door.

Bikini doesn't have door so no rod or inner snap needed on them.
