It’s mine!!

Four states, two time zones, 110 gallons of fuel, 1500 miles, one night in a motel, and some cash, and she’s home. A 36-hour quick round trip from SW Minnesota to Fort Morgan Colorado got it done.

Member @colojeepguy posted a link to a Denver Craigslist ad that caught my eye, so I followed up on it. There was a buyer ahead of me but he backed out. Mine!!

It is exactly as advertised by the seller - a very nice couple in rural, flat Colorado has own tot for ten years. Pretty much stock, and not all rotted away. It’s powered by a Dauntless V6, has a three-speed transmission and a single stick D18 t-case. And 4.88 gears (the tags are still on the differential housings.

The tires are badly worn but that’s minor. Genuine Jeep seat belts, and the original paint code tags in the glove box.

My plan is to just drive it, maintaining it as needed. No mods, unless I put the exhaust back to a full-length setup. It’s a cool bopping around rig, which is all I plan to do with it. I like it!

Nice find. What type of top do you have in mind, if any?

 

It came with the Bimini top shown as well as a (beat up) full soft top. Those will be all I need for it, unless I find a screaming deal on a BestTop somewhere…

Definitely a good deal! I'm glad it was as nice as advertised

 

It’s certainly not perfect by any means. The floors are a bit rusted, with repairs to the hat channels underneath. The side where the spare usually mounts has been patched, as I presume it rusted where the captive wood block resides.

But, as a package, it’s in good condition for its age! The clutch needs adjustment, as it grabs the instant it’s off the floor, and disengages only when all the way down. That makes for some jerky starts and scratches in the gravel.
