My first drive from NY to Missouri with the 134 didn't even have an accelerator pump linkage.

It was certainly an interesting drive among other issues.

Currently under the jeep with the boys "driving" in turning the steering wheel back and forth...

Quick question: should the motor be resting on the steering box, should the steering box move on the frame?

Enjoy it while it lasts....pretty soon they'll be out driving around in their own Jeeps

I'm already looking at motor swaps and dual battery setups for there powerwheels. One has a blown motor and 6v system, the other is tripping breakers.

Took off the tub. I am fixing welds and prepping to have it blasted and powder coated.

I worked on my transfer case handles.

As I received them from JB.

Clearly too far to the passenger side.

    Sooooo, hot wrench time. 20221009_123416.jpg

Then I needed to make a console. Reusing my career of sheetmetal skills.

Much better but not finished. I think the levers need to be nearly straight and the console needs refining. But, the heavy lifting is done.

My son had several of those 2nd hand Power Wheel Jeeps.
Always wanted to make one true four wheel drive.
Between rebuilding Power Wheel Jeeps and repairing old video game consoles, I kept the thrift store busy.
One Bigfoot truck was worn out and the motors would not carry any load, so I took out the motors and put on a long rope and ran around the mud holes and pulled him through them. Great fun. When my wife asked, "Why are you so muddy?" He replied, "We've been Mud Boggin!" Great times indeed. Now he's married with his own kids. They love to ride in his Jeep. This weekend they got rides in the M38A1 and each had their own military helmet.

    Fun times.

I changed the front spring shackle bushings a few weeks ago but the jeep still has some darting issues when I get on or off the gas suddenly. So looking at the rear spring bushings yesterday.

    These are definitely a problem.

RockyRoad YJ spring conversion-probably 10k miles on this Jeep since I finished it. Going to use all grease-able bolts when I reassemble it this week.

Get yourself a dedicated grease gun and a couple tubes of food grade grease. The food grade grease won't eat your new bushings like chassis grease.

I have been using these polyurethane bushings in mine the last few years. I think they are holding up better than the OEM style.

Currently building an F134 for a guy. It has 3 cracks in the deck around a bolt hole so I'll probably install a keensert and pin it.

Got the cassette player working. I put this used stereo in a few years ago for the radio. Today I found a cassette at a garage sale. It was one of my favorite albums in H.S.
So I decided to try out the 40 year old cassette deck. It works like a charm!
