I purchased what I thought was a crank pulley from a gentleman here but it ended up being the water pump pulley. The only thing, it is larger then the one on my 225 V6. What is the correct diameter of the water pump pulley. If I go with the one I bought, since it's bigger, it should spin the water pump faster which might help with water flow at idle anyways. What is everyone's thoughts.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Diameter would be about 5-1/4' or 5-1/2" if I recall.

Wouldn't it actually slow it down? If it's bigger it would take longer to make a revolution?

Yes you are correct and I had it backwards. The pulley I bought was smaller which would speed it up. I had that right just write it wrong

Here are a few pictures of my old pulley and the new pulley I bought. The new pulley is definitely the correct one. That bigger pulley is what was on the engine, and that is partly why the engine wouldn’t cool correctly at idle. 607F1BB6-9BEC-45AC-9C7D-703A3CB7A577.jpeg D17FB7BF-C391-45DD-B8DA-5B494F2320F1.jpeg B4D7C7AB-2B78-4247-B6DA-479A00C73CAA.jpeg
