Number On Frame

    While sandblasting the frame of my CJ 5A I found the number 750 stamp on the frame, passenger side just under the battery. What is the meaning of that number ?

    Are there more numbers or are those three digits in your VIN? That location usually has the serial number that matches the last part of your firewall VIN.

    I could not find any other number. The VIN plate on the firewall reads 8322 A 16750. That would be some sort of confirmation that the frame and body are a match ....

    yes, I think it does. Those numbers are hard to read as these units age.

    My number were easy to read ounce I had remove the coats of undercoating. Thanks alot for the info you provided me
