    On my jeep the holes were squared off and 1/4-20 cage nuts were used. 1C08F349-E352-44F4-B676-D386B016DA84.jpeg

    Ok, I will use the rivnuts as I have them and I would prefer to drill a round hole than file a square hole!

    The advantage to a cage nut is that it has a little play in it for adjustment.

    HA! I thought that is why the 1/4-20 holes were drilled 7/16! Plenty of play.

    Progress. Steering box rebuilt and sheet metal is looking better. Here is a test for so we can drive and get remotivated!
