The 3yr old got the honor.

Drive to OR to pick up the other scooter. It had some wiring issues, but I got that sorted out yesterday.

I finished the bedroom this morning. I capped off the wiring with a 1/2-column I made from some scrap oak plywood I had here, I cut down the mirrored door that was on the armoire and mounted it on the wall, and I used two of the old cabinet doors to cover the hole for the shower plumbing.

I’ll keep an eye out for a 12v vanity light to put above the mirror. I ran wires out the top of the cap to feed that.

I’m not a big fan of the black body. I have plenty of metallic blue and clear left over... :sneak:

I had the rear ramp from stripes in my head.
Someone else on this forum will need to follow thru with that.

We go back and forth on this. Yes, it’s gross, but an RV is like a glorified tent. I almost appreciate that it’s gross because I don’t have to be super careful about what I track in. We discussed tearing it out and doing some sort of faux wood laminate, but the amount that the carpet keeps the noise down and insulates the temps would be missed. And the carpet was placed on the chassis before anything else when they built it, so it would have to be meticulously cut out around everything to be removed, and the old stuff would still be inside all the cabinets.
    We’re still discussing this.

I've slept in a lot of tents - never seen carpet in one....
yea, but guessing the carpet inside a small cabinet/closet wouldn't be all that gross - mmm, maybe not. If i were you, I'd disassemble the whole thing to the frame and reconstruct....you could probably make a few improvements along the way....bet you could do it in under 13 years if you don't try swapping a volvo diesel in it....:D

Headline: man injures knee in RV astroturf incident. Classic plant and twist injury due to awkward loss of balance as he was trying to climb over his wife without disturbing her for midnight bathroom run.

I got the last of the “I can’t live with this” items checked off the list.

I built new drawer boxes and used some undermount soft-close drawer slides. Here’s video with some cheesy infomercial dramatics.

I also flipped the big cabinet door under the sink so it opens from the right instead of the left, and I put pulls on the doors that didn’t have them.

    Do they stay closed well?

Yeah, the first 2 inches of pull resets the springs that retract the mechanisms, so it takes some effort. They can’t accidentally open.

They’re all I use anymore in my cabinets. I love them. They come in lengths from 12” to 30” in increments of 3”. The lower cabinets in my kitchen have drawers that are 12” deep, 30” wide and roll out 27” long with 200# weight limit. No more getting on your knees to find something buried in a cabinet!
