So I eagerly tore off my cancerous steel body and ripped my 74CJ5 down to the frame and now am rebuilding. Fortunately I took photos but unfortunately that phone is now broken:rofl:

I am wondering if anyone has photos of the e-brake setup/routing? I am putting on a glass body so will need to fab up how the foot pedal will mount but I was wondering where and how the equalizer bar mounts? I have done lots of searches and couldn't find any good photos.

You still have the body? I believe the bracket is on the body.

I could post a photo this evening but someone may can beat me to it. The equalizer just holds in place by cable tension. It is not mounted to the body. The front cable goes through a tunnel mounted to the body and the rear cables are clamped to the body.

The body was sold so I don't have the bracket. I can fab something up pretty easily I just don't have the photos to know where things go or what the bracket looks like. I checked the service manual I had but it didn't show the info needed. If you can get a pic that would be great help!

Thats perfect thanks! I vaguely remember trying to yank the cable from that bracket now. I should be able to take measurements off the cable to figure out the bracket needed and go from there. Still hating myself for getting rid of the body so quickly I guess I just didn't want my side yard project to look any more like a junkyard than it already does!

82D7E5CD-585A-44D0-999C-A4A9B2E98077.jpeg I am unable to pull up the last image, I know it’s an old post but on the chance you may still visit, do you know if the cable goes through any of these holes, I pulled mine off that looked like it had been there since new but it appears to put undo stress on the cable cooling out of the floor at such an acute angle, thinking it should go through one of the holes here on pic, preferably the elongated one.

    Thanks,
    Allan

The bracket should be pretty easy to make. I dont think my front cable was secured to much of anything when I pulled the body off. Maybe a couple zip tips or something. But hope this picture helps.
