I'll be replacing the high backed after market seats that the PO put in my 66 and being the thrifty Scotsman that I am, I was wondering what recommendations and success others have had with stock looking seats out of other vehicles. I've heard that S-10 seats will work but there must be lots of other wrecks out there that would yield a workable replacement. Any help with saving a penny here is, as always appreciated. Thanks!

I know I have a hard time here on the other coast of Canada finding original seats to restore. I've been waffling between finding seats out of small honda/something or shelling out the money for a set of bestop low-backs... Finding some junker seats that are short enough for my fat @ss to fit in are getting difficult. PO welded some awful even bigger seat brackets/rails onto the existing setup, I've got to cut that off one of these days. Friend of mine is cutting apart some old skool Tercel seats, getting rid of the headrests, and I might install those for use with my 4 point harnesses.
