Can anyone with a factory rear seat tell me how many bolts are used for the front hold down brackets? Mine only have one for each bracket.

I think it depends on which seat you have. My backseat is the original '66 seat for my CJ5 and it has a continuous flange along the front edge with three holes in it, for carriage bolts.

    Hope this is a help....

I have the stock set up in my '69. The brackets themselves are bolted in place with two bolts each. Then the rear brackets have a center hole for the spring loaded pin to drop into. This holds the seat in place.

Not sure I even know what an original rear seat looks like.

    Fixed?

    Fold and tumble?

    Both, based on option?

Yup. This is how my factory setup is. I had a detailed drawing posted w/ dims at one time. I'd have to look around for it if someone needs it.

Very fixed. Easy removal w/ the spring loaded pins that hold it in place. I'd get some pics but there is so much junk in the back of my Jeep right now that I'm not gunna go there.

btw, I see no provisions for belts in the back on mine.

That's the setup I have. The only problem being the two brackets up front only have one bolt each installed. The other hole in the bracket somewhat lines up with a hole in the crossmember below. So, I take it that this bolt should be installed too?

kcjeep's description of the seat is right on. The back of the seat is fixed (doesn't fold) but the whole seat can be removed by lifting up on some spring loaded pins and sliding the seat forward.

Brad, look on the inner fenderwells, back corners near the tailgate, down low, for a phillips head bolt, one per side.

I believe the rear seat belts use the two large phillip head screws on the side rear wheel wells.

I don't know if the seats or brackets for that matter stayed the same through '75 but I can take a pic of my '70 brackets if you want.
