OK. Mornin. So I figured I would start a thread on my "new" '67. First things first. I know next to nothing about these guys other than they are fun as hell, and an experience all their own.

Back story. I bought this feller from a buddy of mine what traded his 4runner for it. I was on vacation back in Florida visiting family when he brought it home. I am just now being able to look at it and see what all it needs. I believe it has the 225 dauntless, I know it has a 3 speed, not sure which one yet. 33x12.5x15. 6 inch rough country lift. I aint no traditionalist. I believe in making a vehicle what you want it to be, so please don't bust my chops too bad. I will keep this thread going as often as I can.

I ask that anyone with the knowledge, please chime in. I want to do this right the first time if I can. Thanks all for you help in advance...

Welcome from Va. A 6 inch lift is up there. Does it run and how does it handle ?

It runs great. Battery is bad, but on a jump, just a quick hit of the ignition and she fires up. I haven't put it on the road yet, as I need to do rear axle bearings. Which I have, just need to do them. Most likely tomorrow.

Good to dump and replace all the fluids so you can see what you have and know where you are at. Then checking the brakes, especially the wheel cylinders at all four corners and the master. Look for play in the steering and correct anything too worn there. Then most important, drive it and enjoy it. A six inch lift also means you need to check the u-joints because there has to be some angles on those drivelines. Welcome
